Etherton Gallery is pleased to present A Radiant Land, which features three dynamic, insistent viewpoints associated with the land that we love: recent pastels by Lynn Taber, and photographs by Jack Dykinga and Eliot Porter. Superstar landscape photographer and committed conservationist, Jack Dykinga, places his lens so it creates the beautiful lesson that the views he is privy to witness are worth saving. Decades before, Eliot Porter (1901-1990), traveled the country with his camera, presenting the land in all its different seasons, colors and textures with an eye so vivid we instinctively understand wilderness as the nurturer of man’s spirit. Etherton will have on display a variety of Porter’s rare vintage dye transfer prints. Beloved local artist Lynn Taber’s soaring work is likewise informed by the skies and landscapes of her life which she presents in her stirring, velvet pastel drawings. The gallery will host an artist reception and book signing on Saturday, March 13th from 7:00 to10:00 pm. Etherton Gallery is located in the recently designated cultural district, SoCo (South of Congress) at 135 S. 6th Avenue in downtown Tucson, Arizona.
